Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The diversity of our multicultural and highly skilled workforce and its wide range of talents and experience are key to our company’s success. We embrace the value of diversity and the positive impact it has on a team’s creativity and innovative ability. In support of this and other initiatives, we are committed to progressively increasing the number of women in senior leadership positions.

  • We formalized our pledge with a commitment statement to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • We aim at increasing the share of women in senior leadership positions from 20% to 30% by 2025.
  • More than 30 nationalities work in our Global Business Support Centre.

Fairness & Respect

In 2021, TK Elevator signed a Global Framework Agreement (GFA) with the Group Works Council and the global trade union IndustriALL. This agreement is key to safeguarding human and employee rights globally. It protects the interests of workers across all company operations and outlines standards for trade union rights, as well as health, safety and environmental practices, and quality of work principles.

Health & Safety

Safety is a company priority on all levels. Safety awareness is promoted across the entire organization and safety standards are fully integrated into our company culture and day-to-day processes. We measure our performance against key safety performance indicators through our OHS management systems.

  • We have reduced our accident rate (TRC) by around 50% over the last five years.
  • 60% of our employees work at sites that are certified according to ISO 45001 and/or OSHAS 18001.
  • We co-founded the Global Elevator Safety Forum for pursuing a safe and fatality-free industry.
  • We have developed our 10 Safety Rules which are applicable to employees and subcontractors around the world. Download them here .

Our Commitments

  • We aim at increasing the share of women in senior leadership positions from currently 20% to 30% by 2025.
  • We actively promote minority representation in the workforce.
  • We aim to further reduce the frequency of accidents per million working hours by at least 10% each year until 2023 (base year: 2017/2018) following a “zero accidents” vision.
